This is my own use experience share with you, I saw these steam eye masks in a website about retail shopping, these are cool!

First off, full disclosure, I have not been using these for their intended purpose. If you're curious what an eye steam mask is, I'm happy to let you know that it is apparently two hand warmers wrapped in a feminine hygiene pad. It also makes a perfect lower back warmer.  These are just the right size and not too aggressive on the heat. I put them into my jeans and I'm good to go.

No water needed. The patches will heat up quickly. You put your ears though the loop then lay back for an hour as the heat penetrates through your skin.
When I was scanning the pictures and reviews I was under the impression that I would be getting 12 in this box (language barrier on packaging)! The masks themselves are very unique to me, I haven't seen or used anything quite like them. They are all individually wrapped in the box, which they have to be when you know how they work. This manufacturer has many different scents of masks for all types of eye stress, like sitting in front of the computer all day, to a long commute, to not getting enough sleep... the works. You can even go on their website and take a quiz to see which one would work best for your concern. (When I was there you could also sign up for a free sample mask to be sent to you as well) Or you can just choose the fragrance you like best like I did. The lavender smells great.

I ordered these because I have migraines and headaches daily, and while most of the time I use ice packs sometimes I do use heat and I thought I would give them a try. You remove your mask from the package, right before you intend to put in on. You cannot reuse or reheat the masks. They heat for about 30 mins, not too warm, just perfect for my taste. I am not sure if the "steam" comes from the chemical reaction and the moisture pulled out of the air as an after effect or if when the mask is on, your skin sweats due to the warmth. But on their website they do open a mask and place a clear glass over the mask upside down and moisture does collect in the glass. So maybe the chemical reaction theory is correct, but I have not looked into this.
.
I would want one if I was traveling and spending the night in an unfamiliar bed and trying to get to sleep. I can also see adding these to a gift basket for any number of occasions.
