fever patch
The fever patch contains a high percentage of water which works with the bodies natural cooling system helping to cool the body. As the temperature rises the heat of the skin causes the evaporation of water contained within cooling gel sheet which creates a cooling sensation on the surface of the skin. The excellent heat transfer ability is made possible by the gels unique structure which disperses heat freely and maintains a constant and steady cooling effect that lasts up to 8 hours.

In terms of packaging, fever patch comes in a sealed and insulated sachet which is wrapped in resealable plastic. The insulated sachet helps keep the sheets ready for instant use. Each sachet comes with 1 sheet of fever patch and the sheet is cut just the right size to fit the forehead. There are fever patch for kids and there are also those for adults. The kids size has a measurement of 50mm by 120mm. The precautions for storage and use are printed clearly at the back of the sachet for reference.

Fever patch can be used on babies and infants but care must be taken to keep them from eating the product. After all, the gel is a very attractive shade of blue and it’s not hard for babies to think of them as food. While fever patch is generally intended to bring down fever, I sometimes use it instead of cucumber to relieve tired eyes. My husband on the other hand has used fever patch to relieve a sprained ankle. Fever patch has many uses in our household and despite its overstatement in terms of its cooling effect, it is such a household staple that there is no question that I would repeatedly purchase it.

Thank heavens for whoever invented this fever patch. Once upon a time, there was only the ice pack and whenever I would get sick, my mom would fill the ice pack with ice and place it on top of my forehead to bring my fever down. It was not only inconvenient as it required you to have trays of ice on hand but it was also a bit heavy and did not stay put. There were times when I had to put the ice pack down because my arms were already tired of holding it on top of my head. With the availability of fever patch, the ice pack has become an obsolete apparatus when it comes to helping bring down fever.
