If you've never gone through menopause, you can't imagine the discomfort of hot flashes. It's almost indescribable just how much of a negative effect they can have on your life. The product description says that it is effective for headache relief, hot flashes, migraines, and fever reducers. They can also be used to relieve toothaches, muscle aches, and as an anti-fatigue cooling eye mask. Most of these things I sometimes encounter and figured these would help ease some of the pain. My children have also gotten fevers in the past and we've just used a cold towel on their forehead. Now I have these handy in case I need something in the future. Who wants to be stuck somewhere, like at work, with nothing to help relieve the pain to get through the day!? Definitely not me and I'll tell you how these helped me!
I received these cooling gel patches just in time. I was starting to PMS and I could feel a headache starting at 9am one morning earlier this week. I had gotten to work and didn't have any pain reliever with me but I did have these KONGDY Cooling Gel Patches in my purse. Another benefit is that they are very easy to take with you and use anywhere. When I took one of the cooling gel patches out of the pouch to use, all you have to do is peel off the clear protective layer. As I was placing it on my forehead, it jolted me a bit because it was cold to the touch! This isn't a bad thing but it definitely perks you up. I was surprised at how cold it initially felt without needing to be refrigerated. The gel patch is very soft and flexible and you forget that it's even on your forehead (or wherever else you may put it!). At times, I thought I was wet on my forehead since it was so cold but no water or mess was there. The product description says that cold is often used to treat swelling and inflammation as the cooling action narrows blood vessels and slows down blood flow and is an alternative to the cold pack. I can definitely say that it helped to ease some of the pain I was feeling. Not all of it but some of it and it was enough relief to get me through the day until I was able to get some pain reliever.
I had to keep putting it on and taking it off since I was at work and couldn't walk around with it on my forehead going into a meeting with my manager. It stayed in place pretty well too. By the end of the day, it had lost most of its coolness but I was thankful for the support it had already provided. I'll definitely consider using these for my kids when they have fevers because it will help them to cool down their body temperature and for my next headache attack.
